The Ladybird Project plans to take a bedouin tent around festivals and community events, putting on free art, theatre, craft and music workshops and performances. The Ladybird will be a 9m x 7.5m Bedouin tent that will tour local community events and festivals providing art, music, dance and literature workshops to people of all ages. Oblong is helping them with finding funding.

Working alongside the governing body of The Ladybird Project will be a network of local artists who will run activities within the venue, gaining experience of sharing their skills and leading workshops in a professional environment, and creating positive working relationships with other local artists aimed at developing arts and culture in the Leeds area. Workshops will include percussion making and music; movement and mask making; and storytelling and creative writing. All workshops will use recycled, reclaimed and scrap material wherever possible.
